Established in 2012, Justine-Thyme Catering (JTC) has been winning the hearts and stomachs of people from all around. JTC’s mission is simple: To provide our customers with delicious, elevated home-style meals and outstanding hospitality. We are passionate about our food, customers and service. We demonstrate honesty, integrity and fairness in our actions and strive for excellence in everything that we do. We provide on sight service, drop off/delivery services and elegant private dinning experiences. Food brings people together, and JTC wants to bring back those special memories for their customers, through their food. . Every click of the fire, sprinkle of spice and twirl of the spoon is done with love here at Justine-Thyme Catering… just like Grandma would have it.
Meet the Chef
Executive Chef Olivia “Justine” James’ culinary career began early on. Olivia was born in Germany, in the early 90s, but spent majority of her life in Northern Virginia, where she currently resides. Spending every summer in the sweet south of Alabama, her inspiration for cooking drew from her Southern parents and grandmothers. She admired their love for food, tradition, and respected the quality that was always presented in their dishes. Growing up, Chef Olivia would spend time in the kitchen with her parents, helping to prepare meals and learn recipes passed down through their family. Later in life, she was able to share a few of those delicious traditions with her own daughter. A graduate in Culinary Arts from Stratford University, Chef Olivia has taken her love of cooking, along with her culinary education and turned it into a exceptional business! Justine-Thyme Catering, LLC, has allowed Olivia to share her talent and great food across the states. Adding her twist to traditional southern dishes, allows the customer to experience the best of both worlds. Chef Olivia is a sorcerer in the art of stocks, sauces and spice! Some of her most admired dishes include 4-cheese mac & cheese, 5 layer lasagna, smothered chicken, 3 cookie custard-style banana pudding, and collard greens with smoked turkey. Just to name a few. Chef Olivia not only can do bulk style catering, but she also provides intimate, Private Chef services as well. Chef Olivia is very passionate about her work. She makes it her mission to makes sure her food creates memories and good conversation. Her popular phrase “what feeds your soul?” comes from her being a fanatic of her craft. “Everyone has something that they absolutely love.” Olivia truly believes that doing what you love is what’s most important in life. “Not only am I feeding the stomachs of people all around, I am feeding my own soul and fulfilling my dream through my love of cooking!
